TVCAB Announces Rob Hoar As New General Manager
The TVCAB (Television Commercials Approvals Bureau) has announced that Rob Hoar will take over as General Manager of the organisation from Monday, July 14.
Hoar, who has had a distinguished career in advertising both in New Zealand and internationally, will take over from current General Manager, Richard Prosser, who is retiring after six years in the position.
Hoar has earned an MBA from the ENPC School of International Management in Paris, a Diploma in Media Management from the AAA School of Advertising in Johannesburg and a B. Soc. Sc from the University of Natal.
“Hopefully my background will demonstrate to agencies that mine and the TVCAB’s goal is to maintain the effectiveness of television advertising,” he comments.
“My focus will be to continue the great work done by Richard and to keep building strong relationships with the TVCAB clients. After all, its in everybody’s interest that people keep watching and trusting ads.”
Richard Prosser, retiring General Manager, says that he’s looking forward to seeing the TVCAB continue to move forward under the leadership of Mr Hoar.
“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time with the TVCAB and I look forward to watching the organisation continue to be a facilitator, rather than a barrier, for getting good advertising to air,” he says.
