Stars in your eyes at Mission Bay, The Promenade's Winter Festival
The festival lights are about to go on, the stars are about to come out and the entertainment is about to roll.
Between 5-20 July, Mission Bay’s “The Promenade” will become Auckland's entertainment central, just in time for the school holidays.
Megan Burgess, who is organising the event, says families will get to enjoy a variety of New Zealand's well known entertainers performing comedy, music, magic and more over two jam-packed weeks of fun.
“This year’s Winter Festival is set to dazzle. We’ll have New Zealand’s Crazy Waiter, the Kiwi equivalent to Mr Basil Fawlty, Tracey Collins, who will serenade you while you dine – and even fire jugglers.”
Ms Burgess says there’s something for everyone. “If you’re after something more relaxed, why not bring the kids down and enjoy a coffee - or a glass of wine - and watch as they get their faces painted.
“Mission Bay is one of Auckland's most picturesque seaside venues and our Winter Festival will be just the thing to shake off those winter blues.”
