Finalists in Export Awards 2008 Announced

Finalists in Export Awards 2008 Announced
With preliminary judging completed finalists for the coveted Bank of New Zealand Bay of Plenty Export Awards 2008 have been chosen.
Nominations were accepted last month and teams of 16 judges have since journeyed throughout the region to meet competitors and judge individuals and businesses.
Following weeks of suspense the judging teams are pleased to announce the following finalists:
UNITED TRAVEL COPRORATE EMERGING EXPORTER OF THE YEAR:
HOTMilk - A maternity lingerie company based in Tauranga. Directors are Lisa Ebbing and Ange Crosby.
Tatou International Limited Hells Gate and Wai Ora Spa, Rotorua. Bryan Hughes is CEO/Director.
PAGE MACRAE INNOVATION IN EXPORT:
Tatou International Limited The international arm of Hells Gate and Wai Ora Spa company from Rotorua, Bryan Hughes as CEO.
Blokart International Limited Owned and managed by Paul and Matt Beckett, Blokart is in Papamoa and is a previous winner of the Emerging Exporter of the Year Award in 2002.
BAY OF PLENTY WORLD CLASS CAPABILITY:
Hayes International Limited A construction company based in Rotorua. General Manager Mike Lowe is a previous Exporter winner from 1995.
FIL A farm supplies company at the Mount. Arthur Jordan is the director.
SHARP TUDHOPE EXPORTER OF THE YEAR:
Stainless DownUnder This is a marine port lights and hatch manufacturing business based in Katikati. Andrew and Suzanne Lilly are a previous finalist in this category and previous Emerging Exporter of the Year Award winner in 2005.
Oasis Engineering A CNG valve manufacturer, Tauranga. Director, Andy Cameron is also a previous Emerging winner 2004.
BAY OF PLENTY SERVICES TO EXPORT:
The Bay of Plenty Services to Export award is judged in secret and is entered by nomination only.
Congratulations to all finalists. Winners will be announced and awards presented at a Gala Dinner on Friday 18 July at the Energy Events Centre in Rotorua.
