Do the Dart for hot winter deal
Queenstown’s Dart River Jet Safaris is giving visitors two very good reasons to ‘Do the Dart’ this winter.
The iconic company has designed a special offer providing winter visitors with some very compelling grounds for seeing one of the most beautiful destinations in the world in all its winter glory.
“From 1 June to the end of September we’re offering a $30 saving off any of our three amazing safari adventures to encourage as many people as possible to experience the Dart River valley and Mt Aspiring National Park at the head of Lake Wakatipu in all its winter glory,” said Dart River Jet Safaris manager Andy Chapman.
“And secondly, winter’s a fantastic time to visit the Dart River with the snow-covered mountains contrasting against the lush green of the native forest. The river is in pristine condition, with the water clear and blue, the deep pools settled with the occasional trout clearly visible.”
Mr Chapman said although winter temperatures were generally cooler passengers were often surprised by just how warm and comfortable they were on the trips.
“Our jet boats are fitted with heated hand rails and have protective windscreens to keep guests as warm as possible during the journey up the river,” he said.  A warming cup of hot soup is also provided during a stop on each of the Safari products.
Dart River Jet Safaris operates year-round, offering three sensational safari options to explore the beautiful Dart River Valley and Mt Aspiring National Park.
The Winter Special is available from 1 June to 30 September.  During winter months Dart River Jet Safaris trips depart Queenstown at 8am daily with coaches returning to Queenstown by 2pm.
Winter prices are as follows:
The Wilderness Safari (1 hr Jet boat - bushwalk - back road scenic tour) is $169 for adults and $69 for children.  The Jet Boat Safari (2.5 hr Jet boat excursion) is $199 for adults and $99 for children. The Funyak Safari (1 hr jet boat - Funyak - Wilderness buffet lunch - backroad scenic tour) is $249 for adults and $149 for children.
