New name, new identity and new shareholder launches Cruize Milford
A Milford Sound operator that has offered visitors a cruising experience aboard its intimate Milford Adventurer vessel for the past five years announces its new identity this week.
The new-look, new-name company ‘Cruize Milford’, formerly Cruising Milford Sound Ltd, is the product of several months’ analysis and market testing.
Jucy Rentals, the high profile New Zealand and Australian car rental company, is a new shareholder in Cruize Milford and it was their involvement which spearheaded the rebranding and new direction of the established Fiordland cruising company.
The distinctive new lime and blue branding is complemented by the eyecatching company mascot, Sammy the Seal. The new look features in a comprehensive range of marketing collateral, including brochures distributed widely throughout the South Island, on-vessel literature and website www.cruizemilford.co.nz
Relatively new to the management helm is Ben Chapman, appointed General Manger (Sales) in late 2007 to lead the re-brand and launch campaign.
An experienced tourism marketer, Chapman has already gained considerable industry recognition for his involvement in award-winning tourism organisations. He was formerly Sales & Marketing Manager for Nzone ‘The Ultimate Jump’, winners of the New Zealand Tourism’s 2007 Supreme Award and singled out as a finalist in the PATA Young Tourism Professional Awards last year.
“The vibrant new appearance and new name for Cruize Milford is intended to refresh the product and best reflect the beauty and enjoyment of our personalised Milford Sound experience,” said Chapman.
“We’re launching Cruize Milford and our new collateral this week at the annual TRENZ (Tourism Rendezvous New Zealand) conference in Rotorua. As the country’s largest tourism business conference, TRENZ is attended by around 320 buyer delegates and 50 journalists, so it’s the ideal way to showcase our new direction.”
Cruize Milford runs four personal and friendly Milford Sound cruising trips daily aboard the 100-passenger Milford Adventurer, hosting visitors of all ages and demographics who prefer the small boat experience.
“Passengers can view breathtaking scenery, nature and absorb informative commentary from knowledgeable boat hosts – everyone is guaranteed a comfortable seat and awesome views,” added Chapman.
