For Immediate Release
Congratulations are in order for Good Water, which took out the Best Beverage category at the 2008 nite:life awards on Easter Thursday.
The awards, which took place at the Auckland Town Hall on Holy Thursday were voted people’s choice and no options were presented when voting.
The awards are held in honour of those who contribute to New Zealand’s night life and hospitality scene.
Other categories in the awards include Best Festival, Best Radio Show, and Best Bar/Club.
The fact that Good Water is only 6 months old, yet still took out the Best Beverage award which encompassed all alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, is a testament to the Good Water brand.
Although it cannot be disputed that water is a healthy beverage, it is the packaging and the transportation of the water via importing or exporting which is having an unhealthy impact on our environment.
The Good Water Project was set up in response to this issue and offers consumers the opportunity to use a water bottle made from plant based renewable resources.
Since its launch, Good Water has successfully carved its own niche into the market and has found favour with many event organisers and hospitality players who have been motivated to reduce the environmental impacts of their events over the summer.
Tim Phin, promoter of the Our House parties always chooses Good Water at his events.
Tim said, “We love to have Good Water at the Our House events, not only because it’s a quality product, but because we truly support the work that Good Water do in addressing important environmental issues. We’re right behind The Good Water Project, and want to help promote its message to as many party people as we can!”
Now that The Good Water Project has successfully achieved its first goal, which was to make a water bottle from plants, it is concentrating on fulfilling its second goal.
“Having it recycled here in New Zealand is our second goal and to achieve that we need Kiwis to get behind this project and make educated purchasing decisions”, said Grant Hall, CEO of The Good Water Company.
With the upcoming launch of a direct to consumer/business service, The Good Water Project is one step closer to achieving its second goal. This new service will offer consumers the opportunity to 100% recycle their Good Water bottles, as once the bottles have been used they can be collected upon next delivery and then sent to Astron Plastics whom will recycle these bottles within the Auckland region.
As well as online, Good Water is available nationwide in a variety of organic stores, supermarkets, service stations, bars and cafes and retails for approximately $2.80 a bottle.
