G’Day NZ Australia Week 2008
G’Day NZ Australia Week 2008, to be held between 24 April and 2 May 2008 in Auckland, is proudly presented by Tourism Australia.
In its third year running, G’Day NZ Australia Week 2008 will feature even bigger events, including the Very Gold Coast Corporate Golf Challenge, OZTalk Travel Expo, Spirit of Mateship Gala Dinner and The Rosemount Great Australian Lunch.
1. Very Gold Coast Corporate Golf Challenge
Enjoy true spirit of mateship along with some trans-Tasman rivalry with a demonstration from Australia and New Zealand Long Driver champions John Noble and Baden Waiwai.
The format of this event will consist of 4 man Ambrose, 18 hole golf tournament with teams (half Kiwis and half Aussie) battling it out on a stunning course, with great prizes to be won. It will be attended by CEO level and corporate business leaders.

2. OZTalk Travel Expo
A Travel Expo with a difference, OZTalk Travel Expo will inspire consumers with new and exciting Australian travel experiences and destinations for your next holiday. Over 150 Australian tourism products will be on show, with fabulous entertainment, street theatre, live music and great prizes to be won.

3. The Rosemount Great Australian Lunch
Held as part of G’Day NZ Australia Week 2008, The Rosemount Great Australian Lunch is a gourmet extravaganza, showcasing Australian lifestyle through Australian wine, beer and food. Prepare to tantalise your tastebuds with a showcase of gourmet food and wine from all around Australia. Dance the afternoon away with a live performance from legendary Tim Finn. Additional entertainment also includes performances from street performers, dance troupes and comedians.

Booking Details:
$75 per ticket (plus booking fee) includes food tickets, unlimited beverage and entertainment from 12.00pm – 3.00pm. This is an R18 event and tickets will be on sale closer to the event.
4. Spirit of Mateship Gala Dinner
There is nothing like a bit of trans-Tasman camaraderie to highlight the true Spirit of Mateship. Join MC’s John Campbell and Carol Hirschfeld at this black-tie event to bring to life stories of mateship and be taken a visual journey of Australian food, wine and entertainment.
The Spirit of Mateship Recognition Award is awarded to one or more individuals who have displayed and outstanding example of the trans-Tasman mateship. Full entertainment details, including live bands, celebrity appearances and comedy acts, to be announced soon.
