Toll NZ Bang On With Their Fireworks Delivery
It was a joint effort from all Toll business units from Toll Tranzlinks trucks, Toll Rail trains and Interislander ferries that saw 800 tonnes of fireworks delivered safely around New Zealand.
Key Account Executive Peter Manderson says he was extremely proud how everyone from IT staff to customer service staff put in a great team effort.
“It was certainly full on for everyone for four days to ensure the 186 containers arrived at their correct destinations.”
“44 containers went across the Cook Strait and there was a total commitment from our drivers to our branch staff to ensure none of the containers arrived late,” said Mr Manderson.
Obviously moving such a large quantity of fireworks around the country has to be handled with extreme care and we appreciate the confidence our client had in Toll that we could do the job and they recognised we had the expertise to look after such a consignment.
“When you are given the responsibility to move 800 tonnes of fireworks there is no room for error and safety was our key consideration at all times”, said Mr Manderson.
