including New Zealand retailers and VIP visitors KR Kim President LG Electronics Pacific and South East Asia Region,

appliances to New Zealand consumers via our valued retail outlet partnerships," Mr KR Kim President LG Electronics
Pacific and South East Asia Region said. "The presence of LG Electronics in New Zealand will no doubt raise the bar in
terms of competitiveness in everything from product design and integration, to sales, service and support."
The strategy is to mirror the success of LG's young yet impactful history in Australia. From relative obscurity ten
years ago, LG has repositioned itself as a premium brand in Australia, and in the process achieved number one in seven
product categories, including plasma televisions, LCD televisions, home theatre and DVD recorders, microwaves, front
load washers and side-by-side refrigeration.
2007 is a monumental year with the company celebrating a 10 year milestone since it was first launched in Australia 1997
and now LG has much more to celebrate. With launch of the New Zealand operations, LG looks forward to bringing stylish
innovative and cutting edge technology to a market that is hungry for a fresh approach.
"The entrepreneurial spirit of LG is alive and well in New Zealand and is evidenced by the partnerships already well
underway with major retailers in New Zealand," Mr Shin said. "Our leadership in consumer electronic solutions makes LG
as important and relevant in New Zealand as it has been in Australia for the last ten years," he said.
LG will draw upon its in-depth insight into consumer trends to bring a broad spectrum of products and technologies
designed to meet the needs and desires of New Zealand consumers. Such technologies will include Plasma and LCD
televisions, home theatre systems, audio and mobile devices, floorcare, kitchen appliances including refrigeration,
dishwashers,š and home heating and cooling solutions.
"Coupled with the technical superiority of its products, LG's consumer insights have always been its point of
differentiation and this trend will continue as LG invests more heavily in research and development specific to the New
Zealand market," Mr Chun General Manager LG Electronics New Zealand said.
LG Electronics' goal is to enable the intelligent networking of digital products that will make consumers' lives better
than ever.š "The slogan, 'Life's Good' successfully communicates LG's underlying goal and vision - to make life easier
with people-friendly technology.
Retailers and guests at the launch had their first taste of the good life with a display of the products and key
technologies that will be launched to market in the coming months. Product highlights include, LG's ArtCool
Air-conditioning range, an impressive vacuum cleaner line up including the Allergy Care and Kompressor Series, LG's
