Norfolk Island Gets Argent’s Convergent Billing Solutions
Argent Networks Implements Billing Solution on First Full Ericsson Platform
Auckland, 5 February 2007 – Leading technology and telecommunications solutions company, Argent Networks, announced today that it has won a contract to provide its ArgentEclipse™ real time convergent billing and CRM software for Norfolk Island.
Larry Barker, CEO of Argent Networks says that the company through its partnership with Ericsson and Comservice Australia will be implementing the solution on a full Ericsson network using Ericsson MSC, AXE, and broadband equipment.
“We believe that this is the first time this kind of implementation on a full Ericsson supplied solution has been done worldwide so we’re pleased to be involved. Argent has a strategic relationship with Ericsson as a global OEM partner so we’re sure this will be the first of many such implementations we can work on together to create outstanding billing solutions for our customers,” says Barker.
Barker says Norfolk Telecom selected Argent’s real time unified rating and convergent billing solution for both its flexibility as well as its integrated platform. Accordingly, the company will deploy its real-time convergent billing solution with Norfolk Telecom for all network services operated in the island territory, rating each service independently but producing a single, easy to read bill for broadband, wireline and GSM mobile.
“This means Norfolk Telecom subscribers will only receive a single bill for all three services either itemised or summarised which is really convenient.,. ArgentEclipse™ offers pre-paid and post-paid billing, single rating and CRM to mobile, fixed line, NGN and Cable operators, which is just the one-stop-shop solution Norfolk Island needs,” says Barker.
ArgentEclipse™ billing and CRM will be used alongside Ericsson’s GSM MSC, ADSL and Fixed Line Network equipment, which has world-class interoperability at both the customer and central office ends of the network.
“Argent’s billing solutions are highly flexible and scalable, which means we will provide Norfolk Telecom with cost-effective, robust and long-standing products that support real-time, transaction-based convergent billing and customer care designed specifically for their needs.”
Kim Davies Manager Norfolk Island Telecom stated” Norfolk Telecom is pleased to be associated with Argent and looks forward to being able to offer prepaid and postpaid services to the Norfolk Island Community
With an office in Auckland and Sydney, Argent Networks has several other key Australasian telecommunications customers including Virgin Mobile, AAPT, Telecom New Zealand and Telstra Clear.
