Orcon unaffected by broadband outages
Orcon Internet noted with interest the Internet Service Providers Association of New Zealand (ISPANZ) press statement saying that ISP’s were having UBS Broadband outages, and that those outage have been increasing lately. While Orcon has heard from other ISPANZ members that they were experiencing problems it should be known that, for whatever reason, Orcon Internet has not experienced the same. Our customers continue to receive a reliable and stable service.
“I really do sympathize with the other ISP’s that have been experiencing problems, but at the end of the day we want to make it clear to the public and our customer base, that not all ISP’s have customers offline” clarified Orcon’s General Manager Scott Bartlett.
“We suspect that one of the reasons we have not had issues is related to the level of network investment we have made, specifically with regard to our Juniper Core” concluded Bartlett.
Orcon has offered any and all support it can give to both Telecom and affected ISP’s to diagnose and fix the problems being experienced.
