A2 Appoints New Joint CEO
Auckland, 17 November 2006 - A2 Corporation (NZAX: ATM) announced today that it has appointed a new joint Chief Executive as part of a strategic move which will see a stronger FMCG focus being applied to the Company’s global sales of premium milk products.
Mr Cliff Cook, Chairman of A2 Corporation is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Anthony Lawler as joint CEO.
“We’re delighted that Anthony Lawler will be joining our executive team early in the New Year as we believe his wealth of FMCG experience in the functional foods and nutraceutical industries is invaluable for the Company’s growth into existing and future markets”.
Cook says that Anthony Lawler has a strong background in FMCG marketing with Healtheries and Carter Holt Harvey Tissue combined with international business development most recently with Meracol Corporation and Fonterra. These skills combined with the significant progress that CEO Dr Andrew Clarke has achieved in the United States sets a solid foundation for further growth.
Mr Cook advises that Richard Le Grice will remain in his current role to assist in the transition to Mr Lawler after which it is intended he will join the board.
“It’s the next natural step for A2 Corporation as we expand our focus from acquiring and establishing our overseas operations to their growth and expansion, for example in Australia, as well as investigating new export opportunities,” Cook says.
