First Millionaire Of Lotto's New Millenium
After celebrating it's 1000th draw last week, Lotto begins its new millenium with it's first millionaire, after a lucky
player in Auckland won Lotto First Division tonight, NZ Lotteries Chief Executive Todd McLeay said.
The winning ticket which scooped the $1 million top prize was sold at Willowbank Superette in Howick, Auckland.
Lotto Powerball has continued to rise jackpotting to $8.5 million in next week's draw. Strike was also not won, and is
worth $800,000 in next week's draw.
Tonight's other big winner was Auckland's Shama Kasavan who spun and won $150,000 live on Lotto's Winning Wheel. Shama
is originally from South Africa. She moved to New Zealand in 1999 and is a private english tutor.
