New Business Magazine Company
3Media Group will be the name of New Zealand’s newest business-to-business magazine publishing company that comes into being from the beginning of next year.
The group will be formed by the merging of three of the country’s leading and long-established b2b publishers, Profile Publishing, Marketplace Press and Review Publishing. They will formally merge their operations from January 1, 2007 and the new name will kick in. The three companies will be equal one third shareholders in 3 Media Group.
The market position statement that will accompany the name is: 3 Media Group - Making Connections.
“The name derives in part from our past and is also appropriate to our future,” says Profile’s Managing Director Reg Birchfield. “Our three companies are the cornerstone investors in what will be a major media player in the New Zealand market and the name recognises this. But it also acknowledges our substantial and growing interest and involvement in print, online and media event activities.”
The new group’s position statement – “making connections” – articulates the company’s role as a media organisation that makes connections between individuals and organisations, between readers and advertisers, between print, online and events, between editorial news and analysis of issues and the needs of readers to be informed about the consequences of these things and will facilitate connections between those with problems and those with answers.
The company plans to release its new logo and corporate colours later in the year.
3Media will have around 80 employees and publish at least 15 monthly and bi monthly magazines.
