Travel Industry E-marketing Network Converts Online Viewers to Customers
Almost 60 per cent of viewers who saw PREVU Corporation’s online video of hotels and resorts were convinced by the video to book at an Australasian hotel, according to new research.
An online study developed by Auckland-based PREVU Corporation in partnership with global brands such as Outrigger Hotels and Resorts found that the multi-media experience is converting significant numbers of viewers into paying guests.
PREVU managing director, Peter Tanner explained: `We found that among the spread of viewers worldwide the preferred media of choice is video, which demonstrates that the use of broadband is making e-marketing a very real effective sales tool. We wanted to ask these online viewers about their multi-media experience with us and found that a growing number, having watched a video, decided to book with that hotel. We’re pretty excited because it confirms what we believe about the high level return on investment e-marketing provides.’
More than 1.2 million online video viewers used PREVU Corporation’s travel industry e-marketing network during the 12 months to 31 Jan 2006. The New Zealand born company is seeking $1 million in development capital to fund the next stage in establishing its global coverage.
PREVU Corporation entered into a strategic alliance with Florida-based ICE Portal last year. ICE Portal is the leading US-based producer and distributor of multi-media content for the travel industry. Its content is used by some of the world’s leading online travel brands including Orbitz, CheapTickets.com, Priceline, Pleasant Holidays, Lastminute, Mark Travel and World Choice Travel.
