The demographic information available within Nielsen//NetRatings’ Market Intelligence is a valuable tool for marketers to use for effectively targeting tightly defined audiences online. Within Market Intelligence, website audiences can be evaluated on a number of key aspects, such as age, gender, household income and region, along with activities online and purchasing behaviour.
Below is a ranking of the New Zealand websites in Market Intelligence which attract a large proportion of people who are household shoppers (either the main household shopper or who share responsibility for household shopping) as a percentage of their total audience. In other words, the graphic shows that 85% of the visitors to the New Zealand Woman’s Weekly website (www.nzww.co.nz) are household shoppers.
