Emirates Ventures Into Congress Management
Emirates has launched Congress Solutions Dubai - an initiative that will see it provide comprehensive management and consultancy services to a broad range of institutions and associations, seeking to organise large scale meetings in Dubai.
Staffed by a team of experienced multinational professionals, Congress Solutions Dubai has the capability to plan and execute major exhibitions from start to finish, including enlisting participants, organising speakers, providing security, technology and on-site staffing, as well as venue management, protocol administration, budgeting and finance control.
Central to the company's mission is the overall promotion of Dubai as a global venue. To this end, Congress Solutions Dubai operates with the full backing and close co-operation of the Dubai Convention Bureau, the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, hotels, government bodies and other related operators.
Copies of the company's prospectus "Dubai - Ready to Host the World" will be made available to congress, event and meeting planners, associations and federations, government institutions and agencies, through the Emirates Airline worldwide network and affiliate Arabian Adventures' offices in the U.A.E, Australia, France, Germany, Japan, UK and USA.
Commenting on the launch of the new business unit, Hans Haensel, Emirates' Senior Vice President Destination and Leisure Management, said: "Dubai's ability to host top international sporting and business events has been recognised internationally for some time, and its world-class infrastructure was highlighted during the meetings of the Board of Governors of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund - a major global conference involving thousands of high level international dignitaries."
He added: "Thanks to forward-thinking planning, our emirate now has a well developed hospitality industry and offers state-of-the-art convention and exhibition centres with the flexibility to handle groups of any size, from 500 to 25,000 delegates. Dubai is ready to claim an even bigger share of the world of congresses for itself, and Congress Solutions Dubai will support this growth by providing end-to-end solutions."
Dubai's congress and convention credentials: - Strategic location - World class infrastructure in all key areas - airport, roads, healthcare and telecommunications. - Excellent hospitality infrastructure - majority of global hotels chains represented - 35,000 rooms currently available with more under construction - all within half an hour of convention venues - Leisure options include golf, desert safaris, water sports and more.
