Vodafone Announces 'Free Txt Weekends'
Free txt all weekend, every weekend! That's the new offer for all Vodafone customers starting this weekend (7 May 2005).
The 'Free Txt Weekend' promotion will run from midnight Friday until midnight Sunday, every weekend, allowing all Vodafone customers to txt away at no charge.
This exclusive offer, for both Prepay and On Account customers, will last until March 2006 and applies to messages sent between Vodafone mobiles in New Zealand.
"We took at look at when Vodafone customers txt the most and it goes crazy in the weekends so that's how the offer was born," says Vodafone Consumer Communications Manager, Nicky Dunn.
"Txt messaging is a hugely popular service used by our customers and we want to set their fingers and thumbs free to txt for free on weekends."
The 'Free Txt Weekend' promotion does not include Pxt messages which remain only 20c each and Pxt video (video messaging) which are just $1.
