First Quarter 2005 Sales Growth South Australian Government Re-Order
Statement made by David Warrick, Managing Director, Certified Organics Limited
Certified Organics has released details of its sales results for the first quarter (January-March 2005) of its new financial year.
Overall first quarter sales revenue is up 96% to $118,000 on the same period in 2004. The key factor in this result has been growth in New Zealand commercial agricultural and council maintenance markets, where sales in the quarter are more than double the level of the previous year.
The Company sees this sales growth as evidence of further acceptance of its Organic Interceptor weedkiller by the pure “organic” sector and the wider “sustainable agriculture” sector, which values the residue-free character of Certified Organics’ products.
Certified Organics is also pleased to announce that the Department of Conservation, Government of South Australia, has ordered a shipment of Organic Interceptor with a sales value in excess of $250,000. This is a follow up order by the Department, with the product successfully used for seed eradication in a quarantine zone infested by the parasitic weed, branched broomrape. The order is intended for use in completing the state’s trialling process, which will lead to a submission for full federal funding for the eradication project, expected to start in 2006.
