SJS Top 10 Employer Awards 30 Finalists

Student Job Search Announces The Canterbury Top 10 Employer Awards 30 Finalists
SJS has announced the 30 businesses vying for a place in the inaugural Top 10 Employer Awards.
The finalists, selected from a pool of 77 contenders, have been invited to attend the awards ceremony on April 18. The Top Ten Employers and the Supreme Employer Award will be presented by Mayor Garry Moore and SJS General Manager Dean Carroll at the Christchurch City Council chambers from 5.30pm.
Business Development Manager Michelle Smith said “the standard of entrants was high and it was difficult to select the finalists”.
About 100 people are expected to attend the ceremony.

These employers have been chosen for the employment opportunities they have given the student sector. The positions offered have ranged from Gardeners, Labourers to Marketing and PR Co-ordinators, Assistant Technicians and many more.
All entrants have been assessed on the quality of the work provided for the student; length of time the student was employed for; level of training that was provided by the company; feedback attained from students in regards to the performance of the company; and the wage rate.
Reaching the Top thirty is a credit to each and every employer and SJS congratulates and endorses these companies for their employment practices.
