Motoring Excellence Performance And Convertible Winners Announced
The winner of the BP Soft Touch Technology Performance Vehicle category at the AA Motoring Excellence Awards has just
been announced.
The category, one of 11 being announced tonight, attracted 13 nominations from vehicle manufacturers and was, according
to the judges, one of the toughest to evaluate.
The finalists in this category were the -
„X Subaru Legacy GT
„X Porsche 911 Carrera S Manual
„X Mercedes-Benz SLK 55 AMG
The vehicle to emerge as the BP Soft Touch Technology Performance Vehicle was the Porsche 911 Carrera S Manual. In the
judges' words it offered 'a loin-tingling soundtrack, hair-raising performance and advanced technology without
compromising every-day usability'.
The winner has also been announced for the Bridgestone Convertible Category.

Mercedes-Benz SLK 55 AMG
The vehicle that has taken this category is the Nissan 350Z Roadster Manual. Judges liked its quirky character and
attractive lines which combined well with a hard-core driving edge.
