A super-food snack-in-a-pack is the taste of health this summer.
Regal Marlborough Salmon has launched a New Zealand first in Regal Salmon Strips.
The delicious ready-to-eat sticks of protein-rich fish are a natural source of Omega 3s and make for healthy summer snacking, providing one of nature’s super-foods on-the-run.
The slender strips of Marlborough salmon are naturally air-dried and then wood-smoked.
Manufacturer Regal Marlborough Salmon says they are ideal for a healthy snack and are a perfect treat on an antipasto platter.
“They are just the thing for kids lunches, picnics and trampers plus a nutritional taste treat for sports people and a great accompaniment to social occasions,” says Regal Marlborough Salmon marketing manager Stephen Gibson.
“Air-drying is a time-honoured method of preserving food which does away with the need for refrigeration so you can take the final product anywhere. Salmon Strips have a long shelf life too of about six months so you can confidently stock up the larder.
“And one 30g pack of Regal Marlborough Salmon Strips provides a boost of protein and Omega-3 in a convenient snack food.”
Mr Gibson says Regal Marlborough Salmon’s production methods keep the strips of salmon moist.
“We use tender thinly-sliced salmon fillets, drying them slowly and smoking them delicately to retain the salmon taste.”
Regal Marlborough Salmon is the country’s only producer of salmon strips which it is releasing this summer in New Zealand before a global roll-out. They are available in original and teriyaki flavours and have a recommended price of $3.99 for a packet containing 30g. You can find Regal Salmon Strips in leading supermarkets nationwide.
