Next Media appoints Netlink as New Zealand distributor
Next Media is delighted to announce it has appointed Netlink Distribution Company as the distributor of its portfolio of
magazines in New Zealand.
The new distribution contract is effective in early 2005.
The next Media portfolio includes the iconic Rolling Stone and other music titles as well as strong representation in
the kids market and computer gaming. Next CEO Phillip Keir said he felt the time was right for the move to Netlink as

Netlink General Manager Neil Aston said the company was pleased with the acquisition of the Next business and was
looking forward to working on the quality titles in the range.
Next Media was established by Phillip Keir in 1987 with the licence from Wenner for the Australian edition of Rolling
Stone. He has built a successful publishing business with over a dozen periodicals and a number of spin-offs in the
youth, entertainment, technology and gaming sectors.
Netlink Distribution Company is New Zealand’s leading magazine distributor. The business is distinguished by its major
brands, including four of the six top magazine brands in New Zealand supermarkets. In addition to distributing many
market leading titles from independent publishers, Netlink distributes 52 publications from its parent company ACP
Media, New Zealand’s largest magazine publisher.
