Ports of Auckland annual report achieves three finalist placings in ICANZ awards
Ports of Auckland’s 2003 annual report was selected as a finalist in three categories of last week’s ICANZ (Institute of Chartered Accountants of NZ) awards.
The three categories were Sustainable Development Report by a Listed Company, Corporate Governance Report by a Listed Company, and Large Companies.
“As a member of the NZ Business Council for Sustainable Development, we are particularly pleased to have been a finalist in the coveted Sustainable Development and Corporate Governance sections of the ICANZ awards,” said Ports of Auckland Chief Executive Geoff Vazey.
The 2003 annual report also won a Gold in the 54th Australasian Annual Reporting Awards in Sydney on 14 May. Ports of Auckland was one of only two New Zealand companies to win a Gold Award.
“Participating in the annual report awards provides us with an opportunity to benchmark against world best practice in business communication and sustainability reporting. However, our annual report is a practical document and an important communication tool that we use year round for a variety of purposes. A lot of effort goes into producing quality information for our diverse stakeholder groups,” Mr Vazey said.
