China framework agreement - investigate opportunities now ! Now is the time to be investigating opportunities a Chinese free trade agreement could bring whether or not you are an exporter.
Welcoming the signing of the Trade and Economic Cooperation Framework agreement today Suse Reynolds, TLN Executive Director, said a trade agreement with the world's fastest growing and largest economy is not just about traditional export opportunities.
"There are opportunities for all New Zealanders - for ordinary consumers like children and hobbyists, for service providers such as education and tourism, for high tech and luxury product manufacturers, for exporters to other markets who might source cheaper componentary from China and for producers whose sole market is our own.
"There are tremendous potential benefits for our importers and consumers in terms of the cost competitiveness and diversity of so much of what China produces," said Reynolds.
