New Sponsor Announced For One News Updates
TVNZ's Head of Sales, Lauren James is pleased to announce that the 2004 season of ONE NEWS updates will be sponsored by the Bank of New Zealand.
"We are delighted that the Bank of New Zealand has decided to sponsor the ONE NEWS updates. The Bank of New Zealand has been a strong performer among banks in 2003 and we are pleased to have them on board sponsoring New Zealand's leading news updates" said Ms James.
The Bank of New Zealand's General Manager of Personal Financial Services, Andrew Whitechurch, said ONE NEWS had the combination of credibility and reliability that the BNZ was looking for in a sponsorship.
"The Bank of New Zealand sought a relationship with a broadcaster that had high credibility and a track record for delivering authoritative and reliable coverage of news. These are the qualities that Bank of New Zealand customers expect, both in their choice of bank and in the standards they expect of news media," Mr Whitechurch said.
Mr Whitechurch also said the naming association with ONE NEWS updates was one of several major steps in branding the bank would undertake in 2004.
The sponsorship of the ONE NEWS updates begins on 2 February 2004.
