Climatech to amalgamate NZ businesses under one name
Leading Mechanical Services Company Climatech plans to amalgamate several of its business units in New Zealand under one
banner from the 3rd December 2003.
This positive change will see Kooline, Finnemore & Refrigeration Systems merge into one nationwide Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Company. This move will enable
Climatech to draw on the internal expertise of four well-known brands and concentrate on providing a focused and unified
service to customers.
This will create a stronger and more easily recognisable force in the industry and provide one truly nationwide
mechanical services company. According to Climatech National Manager Rob Evans the change means that customers have
access to one national company that offers Air Conditioning product supply installation and service, Refrigeration
cabinetry and maintenance and Sheet metal Services.
Climatech is one of the most recognisable and long-standing mechanical services company in New Zealand and has been in
operation for over 20 years. Finnemore, Kooline & Refrigeration Systems between them have provided over 40 years of service.
The amalgamation will include the following changes
- Finnemore, Kooline, and Refrigeration Systems will be re-branded to Climatech Refrigeration
- Tempest Sheetmetal based in Albany will be re-branded to Climatech Sheetmetal which will work together with our
Climatech Sheetmetal operation in Christchurch.
- New vehicle, building signage and uniforms for the staff will complement the amalgamation and allow for a recognisable
and unified operation.
When amalgamation is complete, Climatech will have 274 people working in 13 different branch locations around New
Zealand.
Mr Evans said that by combining the technical capability, managerial competence and administrative support of these
companies the group will streamline services and maximise benefits for the customer. By consolidating the different
brands the group can improve customer service and efficiencies.
Climatech’s operations specialise in Refrigeration Air Conditioning and Ventilation for Commercial, Industrial, Domestic
and Marine applications.
