Dairy Insight Calling For Funding Applications
Dairy InSight is calling for funding applications from service providers, for industry good projects to fund from 1 June 2004.
Chief Executive Peter Bodeker says it is the second time Dairy InSight has called for funding applications from service providers. It is currently funding 94 projects, after receiving 270 applications for projects to fund in the 2003/2004 year.
Mr Bodeker says in this round, the organisation is particularly interested in receiving funding applications from farmer-initiated projects.
"We really want our farmer members to apply for funds for their own projects. We have been saying for some time that we want farmers to drive our investment decisions and the best way they can do that is to apply for funds for projects that they believe will help their farm business and the industry."
He says Dairy InSight has over $7M available to invest in projects in the 2004/2005 year.
Dairy InSight has sent all existing and potential service providers, as well as industry leaders and dairy company chief executives, a letter advising them of the forthcoming funding round.
Applications close on 19 December 2003.
