Kids - Write Your Wish Lists For Santa
With Christmas only weeks away New Zealand Post is encouraging children throughout New Zealand to start writing their Christmas wish lists to send to Santa by post or online.
Children can either write to Santa by sending him a letter to his home address of Santa, c/o North Pole, or by contacting him via the New Zealand Post website www.santa.nzpost.co.nz, says New Zealand Post Communications Advisor, Kate Jackson.
"When children visit the website they just click on Santa's mail bag and then write their list of presents. Santa will reply to children either by email or by letter. Children that are writing a letter to Santa are reminded to include their mailing address so Santa can reply before Christmas."
Last year around 67,000 children either posted letters to Santa or sent their wish list to him online.
Top of the wish lists for Santa's correspondents last year included Bey Blades and Harry Potter merchandise.
"Letters have already started trickling in from well-organised children. Popular items so far this year include anything to do with Lord of the Rings, Barbies and singing unicorns.
"To ensure Santa's elves make the right presents some children have been sending him pictures of the toys they want from toy catalogues."
