Shell again passes on savings to consumers - another two cents off petrol and diesel
Shell New Zealand today announced another two-cent reduction in the price of both grades of petrol and diesel,
effective immediately at most service stations in the Shell network.
Shell New Zealand retail manager Bruce Emson said that the strengthe of the New Zealand dollar coupled with
international oil pricing meant that Shell was again in the position to pass on benefits to the New Zealand motorists.
"As a market leader Shell is once again the first company to move to bring prices down when conditions allow. This is
all part of Shell's continued commitment to bringing New Zealand motorists the best possible fuel prices.
"Shell will continue to monitor prices on a daily basis and we we will pass any benefits as a result of oil price
reductions, or the strength of the New Zealand dollar on to the motorists," Mr Emson said.
The price at the pumps for 91-grade petrol will drop to 101.9 cents per litre, while 96-grade will drop to 106.9 cents
per lire and diesel reduces at 63.9 cents per litre.
Mr Emson said this price drop will not apply in areas where strong competition has already seen prices fall below the
prices announced today.
