Arrival Of New Managing Director Coincides With Launch Of New Falcon
The arrival of Richard Matheson, Ford New Zealand's new Managing Director, has coincided with the launch of the eagerly awaited BA Falcon range.
Mr. Matheson, who arrived in New Zealand one week ago, had an opportunity to evaluate the new Falcon and was very impressed by the experience.
"Having never driven a Falcon before, I am now converted," said a grinning Mr. Matheson.
"I can honestly say that I am excited by the Falcon – it is a complete vehicle which offers so much power, refinement and drivability compared with some vehicles that I have experienced in North America. It is a vehicle that Ford New Zealand can be justifiably proud of to have as part of our model line up."
Mr. Matheson, who previous to his appointment as Ford New Zealand's Managing Director was the Ford Regional Sales Manager, New England USA, said that he had taken a strong interest watching the new Falcon develop over past months via the newfalcon.co.nz web site.
"I had little prior knowledge of the Falcon, but I have been following its growth on the web as part of the 'Secrets Revealed' campaign. It has been very interesting watching a new car literally being born on the internet, and I now feel that I know a lot about this fantastic new vehicle," he said.
"I have been thoroughly impressed by the new BA Falcon, not least of which have been its power plant developments. Its interior features are also superb – attention to styling is evident throughout the cabin, the controls have become subtle tactile features, and all displays are clear, uncluttered and easy to see."
"The new BA Falcon is a very crisp and concise vehicle, with a very real sense of driver appeal."
