StaffCV Purchases Leading Edge Psychometric Software
StaffCV, a provider of leading recruitment management software, announced today that it has purchased from Carter Holt
Harvey HR software business Mariner7, its leading edge psychometric profiling technology, Talent Engine.
StaffCV’s internationally competitive software enables employers to create a recruitment website from which to collect
and manage candidate applications. StaffCV is a complete recruitment tool, designed to empower businesses of any size to
manage their entire recruiting process.
Mariner7’s Talent Engine is a unique psychometric evaluation tool that captures a candidate’s work preferences. Its base
premise is that if candidates are matched to roles based on what they like doing, then they are more likely to be
satisfied, and therefore perform to a high level. Candidates are able to interactively build accurate profiles of
themselves using a graphic interface, providing employers with a clearer picture of who they are and how they like to
work.
By integrating psychometric evaluation within its software, StaffCV has developed a world first. “Traditional
recruitment is undergoing a revolution, and we are leading the charge”, says Jason Kerr, CEO of StaffCV. “The Internet
tools of the 1990s promised much, but struggled to deliver when it came to providing adequate tools for screening and
filtering of candidates, and providing an equal opportunity evaluation and quality result”.
Kerr says that the new wave of recruiting is based on the concept of companies building and developing their own
‘private talent pools’ from which to recruit, “We really are changing the paradigm, by giving employers all the power,
with none of the traditional costs associated with recruiting. Any employer can now become their own sophisticated
recruiting agency” he says.
The acquisition of Talent Engine also included NZ$4.2 million of new development funding enabling StaffCV to launch
their solution with sure footing in the market.
The psychometric software integration is one of several developments being undertaken by StaffCV. The company has
recently completed integration within its software of over 900 job descriptions and job goals developed by the US
Department of Labour, along with the ability to send SMS text messages to candidates – providing an exceptionally cost
effective way to stay in touch with them.
StaffCV is also working to integrate Microsoft’s Passport and Messenger features to make the application process easier
and faster, and is moving to implement the entire solution on Microsoft’s new .Net Server platform. StaffCV’s product
offering is attracting wide interest in international markets. HR professionals enthusiastically previewed the solution
at HRINZ’s Wellington Expo last week. The USA will see the tool showcased at Chicago’s HR Technology Expo on September
25 and 26.
