Netpreneurs Association helps make money in cyberspace
Is there still big money to be made in Cyberspace? The NZ Netpreneurs Association, a new non-profit group of internet
entrepreneurs and web site owners believes so. The Association is to have their inaugural meeting in Auckland on the
28th of August. Founder, Kevin Hansby aims to bring web site owners together to talk about businesses real experiences
with this medium, about their successes and tackle their challenges. With the sense of the growing importance of the
Knowledge Wave the internet has increasingly become a business tool of interest to entrepreneurs and businesses looking
to reach a growing market and automate their operations. An initial member of the Netpreneurs Association is Simon
Angelo, the Kiwi author of Click & Grow Rich. Click & Grow Rich has become a definitive guide on internet business in New Zealand bookstores and the publisher reports that
they are about to print record numbers in Australia and throughout Asia.
While some might say businesses will not work together because of competitive reasons in a strategic area such as the
internet, the promoter of this new association, Kevin Hansby, believes that in the Internet arena intelligent operators
will accept and support a mutually cooperative approach. "Given that the market we are accessing is vast, and the
likelihood of us competing with each other in the International arena remote we have everything to gain and little to
lose by talking to each other" says Kevin Hansby. Kevin's web site "propertiesnz.co.nz" is nearing launch in August and
promotes Industrial and Commercial property to International investors looking to diversify their global assets in a
stable economic environment where yields are above average by world standards.
Kevin's vision for this new association is to get entrepreneurs and companies to talk about their experiences in an open
forum with the accent on filtering out from the "noise", the successful marketing techniques and resources. "The
opportunity for business in the Internet in New Zealand is enormous", says Kevin. "We live in a beautiful country full
of fabulous, intelligent, resourceful people who are continually struggling with undercapitalization, and a stagnant or
shrinking domestic market. The Internet puts our storefronts on main street New York, London, Paris, Sydney or Rome
without the overheads and with a cost structure the absolute envy of many countries around the world."
Kevin believes that "What we need now is the encouragement, the knowledge of what works and the imagination behind the
smoke and mirrors to get real people doing real business in the International marketplace. This association may be small
but it offers its membership huge potential if they are prepared to work together for their benefit." Mr Angelo, author
of Click & Grow Rich affirmed this stating that 'the internet as a distribution point reduces the tyranny of distance for New
Zealand exporters' and that 'The Netpreneurs Association will offer a valuable meeting point and exchange of ideas for
all businesses and entrepreneurs looking to grow their business'.
