ANZ Investment Bank appoints Head of Foreign Exchange, New Zealand
ANZ Investment Bank announces the appointment of John Body as Head of Foreign Exchange, New Zealand. (Photo below)
John was previously head of Global Forward Foreign Exchange in Melbourne and was also responsible for the Bank's Asian
currency trading activities. He joined ANZ in 1985 and has over 15 years' experience in financial markets, covering
interest rate and foreign exchange vanilla and derivative products.
He started his career in the New Zealand markets and spent four years in Singapore before working in Australia.
In his new role, John will be responsible for managing all the New Zealand Foreign Exchange business and his
appointment reflects the continued commitment of the Bank to maintain its position as the leading foreign exchange bank
in Australasia. He arrives at an exciting time for the New Zealand financial markets with renewed offshore investor
interest in the New Zealand Dollar.
John replaces Bill Murdoch who has been appointed to a strategic role within the Global Foreign Exchange business.
