Hitwise Awarded 5th Position In Deloitte’s “Fast 50 Technology Companies In Australia”.
8 May 2002 - Auckland
Hitwise, the Internet site rating company, has been listed in Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu’s Annual Survey as one of the “Fast 50 Technology Companies in Australia.” Entrants were judged based on their revenue growth over three years (1999 to 2001), strong business strategies, and global expansion plans.
As Hitwise has grown 1,246% in revenue over this period, and launched successfully in UK, Hong Kong, Singapore and New Zealand, the company was awarded 5th position in the overall list.
While it is an award for Australian companies, New Zealand has made a big contribution to Hitwise’s 400+ global clients.
As Tessa Court, SVP Global Sales and Marketing related, “because our sample size is so large and our data collection methodology provides such timely marketing insights, Hitwise has become the online comparative measurement service that is most relevant and affordable to businesses around the world. Later this year we plan to keep up our momentum by launching in the USA.”
Paul Hashfield, Hitwise New Zealand General Manager commented, “New Zealand was the second market to launch Hitwise and it continues to be an important market for us. With over 50 New Zealand clients already using Hitwise, we are hoping that New Zealand will be the test market for several new tools we have developed specifically for the media industry. We believe these tools will have worldwide application and should know in the next few weeks whether the major New Zealand online publishers will be participating in the trial.”
