Carter Holt Harvey Packaging Australia Launches Innovative "Adsonpacks" Service
AdsonPacks’ first commercial products go into selected supermarkets this month featuring SC Johnson's Duck Brush Free
advertised on Purex 6-pack toilet tissue.
Carter Holt Harvey Packaging Australia recently launched AdsonPacks, a specialist marketing promotions business that
facilitates new collaborative advertising on packaging for fast moving consumer goods and service companies.
The business evolved from the Carter Holt Harvey internal 'i2B' (Ideas 2 Business) program, which is focused on
unleashing employees' innovative ideas providing support to transform them into viable new businesses.
AdsonPacks delivers value to both the host and advertiser through complimentary brand enhancement and facilitates the
brands logistics process.
'Packaging has enormous untapped potential as a brilliant, high quality, point of sale advertising medium that is
demonstrably different from existing forms' said Graeme Robertson-Smith of Packaging Australia.
"The retail environment for fast moving consumer goods is highly competitive. Organisations operating in this sector are
constantly looking for ways to innovate, differentiate themselves and gain a competitive market edge. Our research has
also shown that it is harder for companies to differentiate their brands as supermarkets have implemented a clean store
policy. Thus, an excellent opportunity exists to provide organisations with the promotional differentiation they are
demanding.” said Mr Robertson-Smith.
Vanessa Stoddart, Packaging Australia Chief Executive, said the new venture was ‘another example of Packaging
Australia's commitment to innovation, providing new services, value and revenue streams.'
