Owner Mr Alex van Heeren welcomed Taupo Tourism Operators, media and dignitaries to world-renowned retreat Huka Lodge on Friday 31st August.
The occasion was the launch of the new Huka Lodge Activities brochure by the Minister of Tourism, Mark Burton. The publishing initiative has come about in order to promote the wonderful range of recreational pursuits available within the greater Taupo region.
The brochure will be sent to all Lodge guests prior to their arrival to help them anticipate in advance of their stay what awaits them in the way of activities and vast natural beauty.
Deliberately illustration-led, the photographs are virtually all the work of award-winning New Zealand photographer, Geoff Mason.
The guests enjoyed a three-course luncheon presented by Executive Chef Rhys Thornton after participating in some of the many activities illustrated so superbly in the Huka Lodge Activities brochure.
