Local Advertising Agency Wins Sony Business In Thailand
Advertising developed here for Sony New Zealand has helped Auckland-based ad agency GeneratorBates win key projects for Sony in Thailand.
GeneratorBates CEO Andrew Stone says the Thailand partnership involves two completely new campaigns for key categories.
“There was no pitch. Our New Zealand work was recognised through the ‘Best of Sony’ competition,” Mr Stone says.
Regional Sony offices around the world enter their creative work in the annual competition and GeneratorBates has won one of the key categories every year for the past five years, Mr Stone says.
“It’s a world-wide competition and I know of no other Sony agency that has consistently been in the top five as we have. It’s great to be recognised internationally but it’s even better when you win new business because of the good work you’re doing.”
For Sony Thailand, GeneratorBates will be adapting its successful ‘Twins’ MiniDisc television commercial as well as producing new campaigns for a Sony television and battery categories.
