Brain Gain For Sales Technologies

Auckland, January 25, 2001 - Sales Technologies Limited today announced the appointment of its new general manager, Terry Gaze, who has spent the last five years overseas working for high profile international companies.
Mr Gaze worked in Sydney in senior management roles for EnergyAustralia and Levi Strauss & Co and will return to his home country armed with strategic commercial experience to lead and expand Sales Technologies, which is one of Australasia's largest companies specialising exclusively in customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
With over 16 years experience in the IT industry from software development to strategic planning, Mr Gaze has also worked in senior positions in Australia, and the US in areas of utility, manufacturing, service, distribution and IT organizations. His experience has been within highly competitive and changing industries that have required new business skills, channel development, and a focus on team performance.
Commenting on his appointment, Sales Technology managing director John Devine says: "Terry is an astute businessman who has an impressive blend of expert technological knowledge and outstanding commercial skills. He also has a proven track of leadership with a strong customer orientation."
His return to New Zealand symbolised an important example of reverse brain drain, where talented New Zealanders see the advantages of coming home to work, Mr Devine said.
Mr Gaze says Sales Technologies is a well-respected company with significant opportunities for growth.
