2000 New Zealand Meat And Fibre Producers Council Meeting
Tuesday 7 & Wednesday 8 November 2000 Dorset Suite, West Plaza Hotel, Wellington
New Zealand Meat and Fibre Producers Chairman Chris Lester announced that the federation's New Zealand Meat and Fibre Producers Council meeting is being held in Wellington on Tuesday 7 and Wednesday 8 November.
The Council is the governing body of New Zealand Meat and Fibre Producers, a Federated Farmers industry group.
The Minister for Agriculture, Hon Jim Sutton, will address council members on Wednesday afternoon. New Zealand Wool Board Chief Executive Mark O'Grady will be giving a presentation on the McKinsey recommendations on the first day of the Council Meeting.
John Acland, Meat New Zealand Chairman, and Meat and Wool Economic Service Executive Director Rob Davison will also give speeches on the meat and wool industries.
Animal Health Board representative John Dalziell will update the NZMFP Council on the Tb National Pest Management Strategy 2001-2011.
Dr Barry O'Neil, Group Director, MAF Biosecurity Authority, will explain MAF's policy on the Wallaceville Laboratory and its role in New Zealand's biosecurity.
Wrightson Ltd, CentrePort Wellington, the Meat Industry Association, and AFFCO sponsor the National Council meeting.
