NSW Police has purchased Vantive Support for its Police Administration Line (PAL). The PAL was developed to provide advice and take calls from the public about non-emergency incidents and will be operating during the Olympic Games in Sydney this September. Vantive Support will provide a rapid call centre response to assist PAL operators to gather data and respond to calls.
PeopleSoft also welcomed Steve Proctor as CRM Sales Director and Sunny Kumar as CRM Consulting Manager during the quarter in review. The CRM solutions team grew by 75 per cent during the second quarter alone and this rate of growth is expected to continue during the third quarter of 2000.

In Australia, Vodafone purchased PeopleSoft HRMS and in New Zealand, the University of Canterbury migrated to PeopleSoft HRMS to support its 1300 strong workforce.

CTM is the sole provider of telecommunications to Macau and the New Territories in China and is PeopleSoft’s first customer in Macau.
PeopleSoft eProcurement announces largest Asia Pacific customer
AMP purchased PeopleSoft eProcurement to transform its corporate-wide purchasing capabilities and systems. The deal makes AMP PeopleSoft’s largest eProcurement customer in the region.
The eProcurement system will enable AMP employees to purchase 20 commodities for business purposes at highly competitive terms from their desktop computer. These commodities range from stationery to car hire to recruitment. The system will provide AMP staff with access to the catalogues of preferred suppliers and enable them to quickly and efficiently search, order and initiate payment for goods and services.
AMP Chief Financial Officer, Marc de Cure, said: “The benefits of this large scale system will be reduced process costs, a faster more efficient service for both AMP and its suppliers, as well as an enhanced ability to control and track purchases and monitor expenditure.”
