Record Week For Visitors At AMEX Cup Village

IT JUST GETS BETTER. After earlier today announcing that 30,000 people visited the AMEX Cup Village for Sunday's Open Day, figures just through show it was a record week for visitors.
97,942 people have walked through the AMEX Cup Village entry points over the last week. On Wednesday alone, 13 469 people came through.
PR Manager Sue Foley said," These figures are proof that the investment by the AMEX Cup Village, the Auckland City Council and private developers in this magnificent waterfront area has been very worthwhile.
"To have just under a 100,000 people visit the AMEX Cup Village in just 7 days certainly justifies the months of hard work by many people into creating such a unique destination point.
"While we are very proud of such high visitor numbers we are well aware that the challenge is to keep the momentum going right through the next five months. It's a challenge we feel confident we can meet."
