The Mangaekewa Stream in Waikato is overflowing due to the severe weather in the region.
Due to this, several streets in Te Kuiti are blocked including The Esplanade, Massey Street, Rata Street, Lawrence
Street, and Ngarongo Street. Other roads around the area are also blocked.
Our staff are working with Civil Defence Emergency Management, local councils, and other agencies in response.
Diversions are being put in place and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
