"Police investigate serious assault in Wairoa"
Police are investigating a serious assault that occurred in Wairoa overnight.
Police were called to a medical centre on Kitchener Street around 1:15am, following reports that a man had presented with serious injuries.
The man was airlifted to Hawke’s Bay Hospital in a critical condition.
Enquiries are ongoing and there is no further information available at this time.
