Wellington Mayor Justin Lester has announced that a public vigil will be held in the capital tomorrow (Sunday 17 March) in the wake of the Christchurch terrorist attack.
The vigil will be in Te Ngākau Civic Square, starting at 6pm.
The Mayor says the vigil will give Wellingtonians the opportunity to show their support for the victims and their families, our Muslim community and all citizens of Christchurch.
The event has been organised by Wellington City Council in partnership with Wellington Interfaith Council, the Wellington Multicultural Council and ChangeMakers Resettlement Forum.
There will be free on-street parking in the CBD from 4pm tomorrow.
