Man charged after Manurewa incident

Police have charged a 54-year-old man following an incident at a petrol station on Great South Road, Manurewa, last week.
Police were called to reports of an altercation at the petrol station on Monday February 11, where a vehicle allegedly hit a person, before crashing.
A 54-year-old man faces four charges including assault and dangerous driving.
He is due to appear in the Manukau District Court on March 4.
Police enquiries are continuing and further charges relating to the incident cannot be ruled out at this stage.
As the matter is now before the courts, Police are not in a position to comment further.
