Crash in Paparangi Wellington - child injured

Police are attending a crash in Paparangi, Wellington where a child has been struck by a car about 9.50am.
The child has been taken to hospital via ambulance in a serious condition.
The crash occurred at Mark Avenue and Cara Crescent.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area, and note there will be cordons in place near the scene.
The Serious Crash Unit is in attendance.
