Arrest following Stanmore Bay incident

One person has been arrested following an incident in Stanmore Bay last night.
About 10.30pm, Police were called to an address in John Road where a 31-year-old man had been wounded with a machete.
A 48-year-old man is due to appear in North Shore District Court this morning charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The injured man remains in hospital in a serious condition.
