"Fatal crash in Wanganui involved only one car"
One man died following a crash in Whanganui at 2.30am on Saturday 5th August at the intersection of Anzac Parade and Duncan Street.
The crash, which was originally reported as being between two cars, in fact only involved one car.
The deceased man, aged 27, is from Whanganui.
Nobody else was injured in the crash.
The Serious Crash Unit is still investigating the cause of the crash and Police will not name the victim until all next of kin has been advised.
