UPDATE - man shot by Police in Nelson

A thorough scene examination of the Waimea Road address where an offender was shot by Police this morning is underway, as well as an examination of the vehicle he was in.
The offender has been arrested on outstanding warrants for unrelated incidents.
He has also been charged with unlawfully being on a property.
Further charges may be filed as the investigation progresses.
Police are not looking for anyone else in connection to this incident and are satisfied there is no further risk to public safety.
